The sectional cutoff for Reasoning goes around 10-15 marks, however, candidates should strive to score higher in order to qualify the overall cutoff. The key is to attempt the easy questions from Direction, Data Sufficiency, Coding-Decoding, and Seating Arrangement first. Once, these are done, then move on to the puzzles section!
|English||English is also an important section as it is also asked in Phase-II where your writing skills are assessed. For this round, questions on grammar rules as well as vocabulary are asked. Para jumbles as well as cloze tests are also a part of this section.
It can be easily prepared by following any basic grammar book like English Grammar & Composition by Wren n Martin.
|General Awareness||GA section majorly includes current affairs as well as Static GK. For current affairs, focus more on current affairs related to economics, finance, and banking. In static portion, questions from world capital and currencies, National parks, wildlife sanctuaries etc are asked. Since there is hardly two weeks gap between the prelims and mains, the preparation of the core subjects must be done along with the Prelims.
Revision plays an important role in the preparation of exams. It should be done consistently along with the preparation. Keep your weekends free for revision of whatever you study during the week.
