RBI Grade B Notification 2018

Every year, the Reserve Bank of India releases a notification for RBI recruitment via the RBI Grade B exam. The notification is released for multiple posts including:

  • Officers in Grade 'B' (General)
  • Officers in Grade 'B' for Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR)
  • Officers in Grade 'B' for Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM)

The official RBI Grade B Notification 2018 has not been released yet. As per the pattern in the previous years, it is expected to be released in April 2018.

RBI Grade B 2018: Eligibility Criteria

Age: Between 21 and 30 years. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively. For candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/ Financial Institution in Public Sector or prior experience in Reserve Bank of India, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of number of years of such experience, subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, the upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned.

The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor's Degree will be in aggregate for all semesters/years.

Number of attempts: Candidates belonging to General Category, who had already appeared six times for Phase-I Examination for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.

Candidates are required to follow the given criteria to be eligible for RBI Grade B 2018 Exam:

  • Must be a citizen of India
  • Must be a subject of Nepal
  • Must be a subject of Bhutan
  • Must be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 who has the intention of settling permanently in India.
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
