There are five zones in the RBI website which you should cover. The first one is the Functionwise sites, the second one is the Top bar which contains various icons, the third one is the Current rates menu on the left-hand side of the website, the fourth zone is the bottom of the website which has various links and the fifth zone is the What’s new section at the center of the website. There is a great deal to cover in all these areas yet the Functionwise site is more progressively far reaching so it is better to cover it first. It is available on the right-hand side of the website.
Each zone is further divided into topics and each of those topics themselves contain a ton of data, so you should be clever in understanding and covering the data which is important and leaving whatever isn't that significant.
Let’s take a look at what each of the zone covers.
The Functionwise site has topics like Monetary policy, Research and data, Issuer of Currency, Regulation, Financial markets, Financial inclusion and development, Consumer education and protection, Banker and debt manager to government, Banker to banks, Foreign exchange management and Payment and settlement systems. Each of these topics are further divided into various subtopics. Make sure you cover at least the overview subtopic for each.
When you are finished with the Functionwise site, you have to go through every icon on the top most bar which contains icons like Notifications, Press releases, Speeches, Publications, Memorial Lectures, Mint street memos, Research and Statistics. The About Us tab will help you know about the various department names. The Speeches tab can be referred before your interview round to make sure that you are well versed with all the current happenings. The Publications tab has weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual reports which can be referred as per your convenience.
The current rates menu has different rates which are important from the exam point of view as these can be asked in an objective format. Hence, it is necessary that you know the latest rates. Learn the meaning of each and every rate and be sure that you study the current rates before each and every stage of the exam.
The FAQ section in bottom zone of the website is the most important as it contains relevant facts and concepts.
The what’s new section is important for the third phase of RBI grade B, which is the interview round.
The website covers all topics related to the banking sector. It may look like a single page website but it holds vast information. Hence, make sure that you start on time and complete all the topics properly.
