SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis April 29, 2017 - First Slot



SBI PO (Prelims) Exam - 2017 was flagged off on April 29, 2016. It has been held in four time slots - 2 each in morning and evening. The exam will span over a period of one week, ending on May 7, 2017. A total of 100 questions had to be answered in 60 minutes. Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark while each incorrect answer will reduce the score by 0.25.

The Passage was moderate, based on internet security, the advantages and disadvantages, its safe use (like use of codes) and misuse these days. Phrase Replacement questions were basically framed to check the fundamentals of grammar. Questions were asked on prepositions, adverb, etc. Questions were of easy to moderate level. The Cloze Test was moderate in difficulty level. The passage was based on soaring cost of University education and how it was affecting other economic activities. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.

DI part was calculative and time taking. Questions from topics like SI & CI, Mixture and alligations were little tricky .Simplification and quadratic equations questions were easy. Overall level was moderate. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
