SSC CGL Tier-I Exam 2017 started on August 05, 2017. Today is the 7th day of SSC CGL 2017 Exam. The exam will be conducted till August 24, 2017.

SSC CGL Tier-I 2017 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) containing 100 objective type questions to be answered in 60 minutes. There are four sections, namely, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension consisting of 25 questions each. All sections, except the English Comprehension section, are available bilingual i.e. in both Hindi and English mediums. Every correct answer will fetch 2 marks and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Quantitative Aptitude Section of SSC CGL Tier-I 2017

Quant in SSC CGL 2017 exam was of moderate level. The section comprised questions from a variety of topics, namely, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and DI. The questions in DI were based on tabular DI (various banks and loan given in various years) and were calculation intensive.

English Comprehension Section of SSC CGL Tier-I 2017

A majority of the questions in this section can be categorised under Vocabulary and Grammar. There were some changes in this year's paper. There was no reading comprehension. However, there was 1 question each from Active/Passive Voice and narration. Cloze test and Para Jumble were also a new introduction in this year's exam. Overall, the level of difficulty of this year's paper was easy to moderate.
