Staff Selection Commission (Combined Graduate Level) Tier I Examination 2018: Analysis - Slot I (June 04, 2019)

SSC CGL Tier-I 2018 exam was flagged off on June 04, 2019. The exam was conducted in three time slots. It is a Computer based Test (CBT) containing 100 objective type questions to be answered in 60 minutes.

There are four sections, namely, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension consisting of 25 questions each. All sections, except the English Comprehension section are available bilingual i.e. in both Hindi and English medium. Every correct answer will fetch 2 marks and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

The level of difficulty of this section was easy. The questions in this section were similar to last year and the options could easily be eliminated to reach the correct answer.

The level of difficulty of this section was easy to moderate. Overall, the paper was on the same pattern as last year. The paper was dominated by Science and Current Affairs questions.

English Comprehension:

A majority of the questions in this section can be categorised under Vocabulary and Grammar. There was no reading comprehension passage this year. Overall, the level of difficulty of this year's paper was easy to moderate.
