SSC CPO (SI & ASI) 2017 Exam Analysis 1 July, 2017 - Morning Slot



SSC CPO (SI & ASI) Paper I Exam 2017 was conducted today (July 01, 2017). There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 120 minutes. There were four sections - General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. All the other sections, except the English Comprehension section, were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question had 4 options. Every correct answer will fetch 1 marks and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

As usual, maximum questions were from Science section, which were of moderate level of difficulty. Polity, Economics and Current Affairs were quantitatively second in number, having 9 questions. History was third with 7 questions. Rest of the sections were as usual in nature.

English Comprehension Section of SSC CPO (SI & ASI) Paper I Exam 2017:

There were 2 Reading Comprehension Passages with 5 questions each. A majority of the questions in this section can be categorised under Vocabulary and Grammar. In Vocabulary, there were questions on Antonyms, Synonyms and One-word Substitution. In Grammar, there were questions on Sentence Improvement and Spot the Error.
