Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC GD Constable Exam to recruit suitable candidates for the General Duty post of Constables (GD) in BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles.

SSC has recently released the official notification for SSC GD Constable Exam 2021 on its official website. The commission intends to recruit 25,271 candidates for the General Duty (GD) post of Constables in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB), Border Security Force (BSF), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Assam Rifles.

SSC has released the SSC GD 2021 Notification on its official website to recruit 25,271 vacancies across different posts in the security forces. SSC GD notification also includes important details such as SSC GD Eligibility, SSC GD Exam Pattern and Syllabus, and the vacancy description.

SSC GD Notification also mentions the SSC GD Eligibility for the candidates interested in filling up the form. SSC GD Eligibility mentions certain parameters that one has to pass in order to fill the application form and be considered for recruitment after the declaration of the SSC GD result.

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are listed state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/UT. 

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 18-23 years as on 01.08.2021. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.

Educational Qualification (As on 01.08.2021)

The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination

from a recognized Board/ University. Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as of the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply.

Age Relaxations

The aspirants belonging to the specific category will have certain age relaxations. The upper age limit for such candidates is mentioned below:

Incentive To NCC Certificate Holders

The incentive to ‘NCC Certificate’ holders will be granted at the following scales

  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate 5% of the maximum marks of the examination

  • NCC ‘B’ Certificate 3% of the maximum marks of the examination

  • NCC ‘A’ Certificate 2% of the maximum marks of the examination

SSC GD Online Application

SSC has released the online application form for SSC GD Exam on its official website. Candidates desirous of filling the application can visit the website to fill the form. In addition to the official SSC website, the SSC GD application form is also available on the UMANG app.

  • The SSC GD Online application form can be filled from Jul 17, 2021 to Aug 31, 2021.

  • You will be required to pay Rs. 100/- (General and OBC) while filling the application form.

  • The application fee is exempted for females and all other categories.

You must keep the following documents in place while registering for the SSC GD Exam:

  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP)

  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)

  • Valid Identity Card (Aadhar Card/Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/School ID/College ID/Employer ID)

  • Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing of the 10th Examination

  • Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with benchmark disability

How to apply for SSC GD Constable Exam?

The SSC GD Online Application process consists of two parts: One-Time Registration and Filling of Online Application Form. If you’ve filled the application form before, you can skip the one-time registration and log in using the same registration ID and password to complete the second part. 

Part 1: One-Time Registration

Follow the below-mentioned steps for one-time registration for SSC GD Exam:

  • Step-1: Visit the official website www.ssc.nic.in

  • Step-2: Click on the "Register Now" link.

  • Step-3: For the one-time registration process and fill in all the basic details, education qualifications, and declaration form.

Part 2: Filling of Online Application Form

Follow the below-mentioned steps for filling the online application form for SSC GD Exam:

  • Step-1: Click on the "Login" link and use the registration id to log in. In the Latest Notification tab, click on “Apply Now” under ‘Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2021’

  • Step-2: Upload your recent photograph and signature.

  • Step-3: Once the details are filled in, preview your application form.

  • Step-4: The next step is to pay the SSC GD Exam fee. The application fee is acceptable in both online and offline modes.

  • Step-5: Pay your fee through Debit/Credit card/Net Banking/E-Challan whatever is available.

  • Step-6: Click on submit to submit your SSC GD Application form successfully.

SSC GD Job Profile 

The roles and responsibilities of an SSC GD Constable vary for different forces with the major responsibility of security of citizens in the country. On the basis of rank in SSC GD Exam, you will be recruited in one of the below-mentioned security forces:
