GS Paper 2 2022 Analysis

UPSC CSAT 2022, also known as General Studies Paper 2, had a total of 80 questions based on Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Verbal Ability.

This year there were 38 questions in quantitative ability, 27 in the verbal section and 15 in the reasoning section. There were lengthy, statement-based questions that required a good conceptual understanding.

The quantitative ability section had a majority of moderate to easy questions, with around 29 questions falling in this category, and about 9 questions that fell in the difficult category. The overall difficulty of this section was easy to moderate.

The reasoning section had 13 questions in the easy to moderate category, and 2 questions in the difficult category. Overall, the difficulty level was easy to moderate.

The overall difficulty level of the Verbal Ability section can be considered more on the difficult side. Around 15 questions fell into the easy to moderate category, and about 12 fell into the difficult category.
