GS Paper 2 2024 Analysis

UPSC CSAT 2024, also known as General Studies Paper 2, had a total of 80 questions based on Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Verbal Ability.

There were 38 questions in quantitative ability, 27 in the verbal section and 15 in the reasoning section. The overall difficulty level of CSAT 2024 was leaning towards the difficult side. Questions required a good understanding of concepts and were time-consuming and lengthy.

The majority of the questions of the quantitative ability section were in the moderate to difficult category, with very few falling in the easy category- thus making the overall difficulty level of this section moderate to difficult.

Most of the questions in the reasoning section could be categorised as moderate, with a few falling in the easy and difficult categories respectively. Thus, the overall difficulty could be considered moderate.

The verbal ability section had only 4 questions that could be categorised as easy, and the rest fell into the moderate to difficult category, thus making the overall difficulty level moderate to difficult.
