About WUD
WUD is India's first university dedicated to education in the creative domain, The university is established by the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 with the right to confer degrees under Section 2(f) and 22(I) of the UGC Act. All degrees of WUD are UGC approved.
WUD addresses the turbulence taking place in the Management education by rapid expansion in capacities, explosion in low-end, low-quality institutions offering this degree without proper inputs; and foreign institutions of all kinds landing up in India with their fancy names, high fees but education of questionable quality & relevance.
The management education sector was hit by a massive oversupply of talent, coupled with shrinking demand from companies. The resultant turbulence and transformation has seen some very good, specialized MBAs being offered in sectors witnessing growth i.e. hospitality, construction, healthcare, retail etc. World University of Design (WUD) offers high-quality trans-disciplinary management education with a design thinking backbone, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The aim is to build a generation of creative professional managers, capable of serving as agents of change for the growth and development of the diverse and decentralized sectors of various industry segments. WUD's design thinking and innovation based design management programs have therefore emerged as the new 'go to' areas that'll find placements across all verticals.

Scholarships
The World University of Design strongly believes in nurturing and encouraging the brightest minds to transform them into lifelong learners and leaders. To acknowledge such high potential academic achievers, WUD offers generous scholarships covering up to 75% of the academic fee for the entire duration of the program.
International Linkages
International exposure is an essential part of design education and can be tremendously rewarding and productive to the students. WUD has signed nearly ten MoUs with leading educational institutions across the globe to facilitate a constant exchange of students, scholars, research topics on every subject. The first batch of students has already traveled for their exchange. Besides exchanges, WUD also invites professors of Design Management from around the world to come and teach at WUD. In the last year Prof. Mark Watson from RMIT Australia has held a 2 week workshop at WUD. Other eminent scholars visiting the campus includes Prof. Osmud Rehman, Ryerson University; Prof. Elizabeth Rose, University of Otago; Prof. Paul Inman, Pro VC, Oxford Brookes University; Prof. Parik Goswami, University of Huddersfield; Prof. Sarah Mills, Leeds Beckett University etc. WUD organises a global Design Thinking event - Global Goals Jam Delhi since 2017 in association with UNDP and MediaLab Amsterdam.
Placements & Industry Connect
Graduates of design management have a niche carved out for them. Their recruitment does not interfere with the regular management streams like HR, marketing, finance etc. This expertise is in very short supply and is required across all industry segments. Not just that, many completely new segments like design studios, innovation consultants etc also open up for them. Placements for Strategy & Design management graduates therefore are very exciting. The placement cell of WUD has already signed internship & placement MOUs with over 30 companies and more are being added by the day. With its unique faculty network and connects, it assures 100% placement assistance.
Campus
WUD is not only India's First Design focused University but also has the largest campus in India dedicated to education in the creative domain. It is located in the fast developing Rajiv Gandhi Education City on NH1 in Delhi NCR, in the vicinity of premier institutions like the IIT Delhi, National Law University, Ashoka University, as its neighbors. Standing on NH1, Education City is conveniently located at a distance of 30 minutes from Delhi.
