CL Young India Challenge

CL Young India Challenge is a new platform for students to compete with the best, showcase their talents and entrepreneurial ideas, hone their skills, and learn from the best role model entrepreneurs and business leaders. CL YIC will provide mentorship and networking, thus enabling fledging entrepreneurs to unfold their wings. CL YIC is a new age, next gen movement to present the start-up or business idea on the national platform.

The CL Young India Challenge (YIC) is open to all undergraduate students. CL Young India Challenge will not just be about winning the contest; it will be an opportunity to benchmark themselves against the best across India in their chosen field of interest.

The challenge is open to all enterprising youngster who are keen to explore the potential of their business idea.So if you are ambitious and innovative this is the place for you.

The challenge is open to students in any year of their under graduation

The challenge will have three Level:

College Level

Business Aptitude Test (Skills evaluated: Business awareness)

The test will be App based.

The panel will select two (2) top scorers from each college as College Winners of Young India Challenge.

Top Eight (8) scorers from each city will advance to City Level in teams.


City Level

Case Study Challenge (Skills evaluated: Analytical and critical thinking, research skills & problem solving abilities)

  • This round is a two stage process: Case study Challenge and Executive Summary submission.
  • City Finalist will compete for first stage l and winning team in each city will become eligible for Grand Finale.
  • Each eligible team from their respective city will submit an executive summary online and shortlisted Six teams from PAN India will advance to Grand Finale.
  • Six teams will be shortlisted from PAN India to compete at Grand Finale based on the quality of the Executive Summary submitted

 

Grand Finale:

Business Plan Challenge (Skills evaluated: Innovative and practical ideas, research & management skills)
Personal mentorship | Networking opportunities |Onstage challenge: speaking their mind
12 Challengers: 6 teams of 2 each

Grand Finale is a two stage process:
  • Elevator’s pitch (10 minutes)

Three teams will be eliminated and shortlisted teams will move to presentation round

  • Presentation and Q&A (20 minutes)

Top three (3) winners after the elevator pitch round will give live presentation.

Winning team will be awarded YIC Badge & will become the “YIC Leader” of Young India Challenge-2015

A panel of judges will evaluate and score each applicant on several key areas, with marks awarded for each skill being evaluated.

The scoring will be taken into consideration when the winners will be announced and so top scorers will advance across the Levels.

The judging criteria for College Level is:

  • Scores of the Business Aptitude test the student appeared for.

The judging Criteria for City Level will be

  • How strong the case study is, evaluated on the basis of: the title, the problem areas identified, Challenges figured out and solutions to the problem.

The judging criteria for Grand Finale will be:

  • Business model.
  • Quality and effectiveness of Idea
  • Content, clarity and persuasiveness of the plan.
  • Oral presentation.
  • Student need to participate at the College Level individually.
  • Team of two will be formed among the shortlisted at the City Level.
  • Students who graduated in the preceding academic terms are not eligible to participate.
  • Student need to register with a valid email id and contact details to access their Results.
  • Contestants must adhere to the deadlines for which they will be updated timely.
  • A participating student cannot be a member of more than one team he is a part of. One entry per team will be eligible.
  • Student found to be using content that is plagiarized will be disqualified.
  • Decisions of the panel as to winners and rules are final.

2. When is the College Round?

College Round will be held at the set date & venue in your college. You need to download CL-YIC App today to receive the test date & related notifications.

3. What is the Prelim College Round all about?
Test will comprise of Business awareness & Business G.K. & will consist of multiple Test Sections each having multiple objective type questions

4. Can I give the test from home?
No, you cannot. The date will be notified to you via App and test will be conducted inside your College.


5. Where I can check my result?
If you are one of the winner or the finalists, we will notify you via App. Result will also be available on the website.

6. When will be the City Level?

7. Can I enter more than one idea?
No, One student will be required to submit one Business idea.
