SSC CHSL Tier I Exam Analysis 2016: Slot 1, January 15, 2017

Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC CHSL) Tier-I exam 2016 started from January 07, 2017 was conducted in various centres across the country. The exam will span over a period of a month, ending on February 08, 2017.

For the first time, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 objective type questions to be answered in 75 minutes.

There are four sections, namely, General Intelligence (Reasoning), English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness consisting of 25 questions each. All sections, except the English Language section, are available bilingual i.e. in both Hindi and English medium. Every correct answer will fetch 2 marks and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

General Intelligence Section of SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2016: 

The level of difficulty of this section was easy. The questions in this section were similar to the last year. Matrix based question was time consuming. Blood Relation and Classification questions were easy and quick.

The level of difficulty of this section was moderate. This section was dominated by questions based on Vocabulary and Grammar. Narration and Voice based questions required conceptual clarity. Synonyms and Antonyms were easy to solve.

The level of difficulty of this section was easy-moderate. The section comprised questions from a variety of topics. Unlike last year, this section was dominated by Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry and Data Interpretation. Questions based on Mensuration were easy and formula based.
