What is CSAS (UG) 2025?
The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) is DU’s centralised admission portal designed to streamline the seat allocation and UG admission process for all its undergraduate programs. Introduced in alignment with the CUET UG, the DU CSAS portal ensures a transparent and efficient seat allocation and admission process.
CSAS has multiple phases, which are mentioned below:
- Phase I – Registration on CSAS Portal
- Phase II – Preference filling and program selection
- Phase III – Seat allocation and admission confirmation
As of now, the CSAS portal – Phase I is live. Every candidate aiming for regular DU undergraduate admission (excluding SOL, NCWEB, and Foreign Nationals) must register on the portal to participate in the admission process.
Who Can Apply for the DU CSAS Portal?
To be eligible for DU UG admissions via CSAS (UG) 2025, the candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
- The student must have appeared in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2025 in the relevant subject(s)
- Have passed Class XII or its equivalent from a recognised board
- The candidates who have appeared in their (class 12) Board exam this year and are awaiting results can also apply
- One must be a citizen of India or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
Note: Students seeking admission to the School of Open Learning (SOL) or Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) must register separately on their respective websites.
How to Register on DU CSAS Portal 2025?
The DU CSAS portal – Phase I registration is very crucial. Students must fill it carefully and with diligence. Any wrong information or mistake can result in the cancellation of their registration.
Follow the following steps to register for Phase I of the CSAS portal:
- Visit the official portal: www.admission.uod.ac.in
- Click on CSAS(UG) 2025 – Registration.
- Sign in using your CUET application number and password.
- Fill in personal and academic details as per your Class XII mark sheet and CUET form.
- Upload required documents (scanned copies of photograph, signature, Class XII certificate, category certificate if applicable).
- Pay the one-time registration fee.

- Candidates applying for BFA/ B. Sc(PE, HE & S) / B.A.(H) Music will have to pay an additional fee of Rs. 400.00 (non-refundable).
- For applying to the ECA and Sports supernumerary quota, there is an additional fee of Rs . 100.00 (Rupees Hundred only) for each quota.

What Happens After CSAS Registration (Phase II Preview)
After Phase I closes, DU will launch Phase II, where candidates can proceed to mark and add their college and course preferences. The detailed steps are as mentioned below.
- Choose programs and colleges based on their CUET subject combinations.
- Arrange them in order of preference.
- Lock their choices before the deadline.
- DU will use the normalized CUET scores to create a merit list for each program.
However, students must note that the detailed dates for each phase and their timeline have not been declared by the University of Delhi (DU) yet. There is still some time for that. Meanwhile, students must carefully complete their DU CSAS portal registration.
Important Points to Note Before You Apply
- Only CUET (UG) 2025 scores are valid for UG admissions in regular colleges.
- Candidates must have appeared in CUET with the subjects relevant to the program they’re applying for.
- If a student has studied a subject in Class XII that’s not listed in CUET, appear in a closely related subject (at least 50% syllabus overlap).
- Gap years do not affect eligibility, but students must still take CUET (UG) 2025.
- No minimum age requirement, except where professional councils (e.g., AICTE, MCI) prescribe it.
- Students cannot pursue two regular degree programs simultaneously from DU or any other university.

- A recent passport-sized photograph
