If this is your first time to appear for the CMAT, you may find it a bit tricky. However, that is not the case for those who have taken other MBA entrance examinations such as CAT, XAT, SNAP, etc since preparing for this exam will be like a revision for them as the CMAT syllabus is very much identical to these MBA entrance examinations. Nevertheless, to secure a seat in the leading institutes, you must excel in the CMAT 2024 examination. The following is a CMAT preparation strategy:
> Familiarize With the Syllabus: This includes all the sections, marking schemes, and sets of questions. One must fully comprehend the whole syllabus and then only will they have a good idea of what topics to cover first.
> Gather Relevant Resources: It is important to gather all the relevant materials for your CMAT exam preparation including past years’ papers, reference books, online aids, and textbooks. Ensure that students have a permit to a sequel of mocks for daily practice.
> Make a Timetable: Make a study timetable that wraps the complete syllabus of the CMAT exam. Allocate time for all the sections based on your weaknesses and strengths. Ensure that you have enough time for practice tests and revision.
> Strong Hold Over Basics: For each section, start with the basics first and then slowly move on to covering the fundamental concepts. To have a strong grasp on the foundation, you must start with easy questions such as QA, LR, Language Comprehension, and General Knowledge/Awareness.
> Practice Regularly: Regular practice sessions and solving all kinds of questions irrespective of the difficulty levels, will help you to boost your speed and precision. Focus on time management skills, especially for those sections that contain long reading passages and calculations.
> Solve More Mock Tests: To assess your preparation level for the CMAT exam, work on solving mock tests daily. Remember to evaluate your performance after every mocks to point out your strengths and weaknesses. This will help you to work on improving your weak areas and enhance test-taking methods.
> Make Time For Revision: Ensure that you allocate enough time for regular revision. Also, review all the mock tests you have taken to track down your progress. Prioritize areas that require more improvement and work on them during the revision session.
> Keep Your Mental & Physical Fit and Healthy: As you prepare for the CMAT exam, students are advised not only to focus on covering the whole but also to continuously check on their mental and physical health. Make sure that you’re not drained both mentally and physically. Take plenty of rest, eat good/healthy food, and exercise daily to stay active. Lastly, always stay positive and confident. Believe in your preparation that you will do well.
