How will the
exam pattern be for CUET 2023?
The CUET (2023) is a common entrance exam
conducted by NTA for UG Admissions across 240+ participating universities in
India. The CUET exam pattern for 2023 has been slightly revised, and some new
changes have been observed. However, there is no change in the CUET marking
scheme for 2023. The mode of the exam will be online (CBT – Computer Based
Test), and the test will be conducted in 3 different slots.
The question paper will
be Multiple Choice Question type only with the marking scheme as follows:
- +5
for the right answer - -1
for the wrong answer - 0
for any unattempted question
In case of any dropped
question (Questions for which all the given options were wrong), students who
have attempted that question only will be awarded the full marks.
Following are the 3
sections of the exam:
- Section
IA – 13 Languages (Tamil, Telugu,
Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi,
English, Hindi and Urdu) - Section
IB – 20 Languages (French, Spanish,
German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo,
Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese,
Sanskrit.)
-40 Questions are to be
marked out of 50 in Section IA & IB.
-45 minutes for each language

II – 27 Domain-specific

-60 minutes for [Accountancy,
Economics, Physics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Mathematics
(Applied & Core), and Chemistry]

marked out of 60 Questions in Section III.
