How to Apply for IIM Amritsar IPM 2026
The application process involves the following steps:
- Apply for IPMAT Indore 2026 at iimidr.ac.in before March 14, 2026.
- Separately apply for the IIM Amritsar i-MBA programme at admission.iimamritsar.ac.in.
- Enter your IPMAT Indore 2026 registration number in the IIM Amritsar application.
- Pay the application fee (non-refundable).
- Upload valid category certificates, if applicable.
- Appear for IPMAT Indore on May 4, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria for IIM Amritsar IPM 2026
Before applying, confirm you meet the following conditions:
- Age: Not more than 20 years as of July 1, 2026 (relaxed to 25 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates)
- Qualification: Must have passed Class XII in 2025 or be appearing in 2026
- Mathematics: Compulsory subject in Class 12
- Minimum Marks (Class X & XII):
- General/EWS: 60%
- NC-OBC: Minimum 55%
- SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 50%
If you are applying to both IIM Indore and IIM Amritsar- which most IPMAT aspirants do- pay close attention to where the two differ.
- IIM Amritsar’s eligibility window is narrower: only students who passed Class XII in 2025 or are appearing in 2026 are eligible, while IIM Indore also accepts 2024 pass-outs.
- Mathematics is mandatory at IIM Amritsar but not at IIM Indore.
- And unlike IIM Indore, which has no minimum marks requirement beyond passing, IIM Amritsar expects at least 60% for General and EWS candidates.
- Even the age cutoff date is different- July 1 at IIM Amritsar versus August 1 at IIM Indore.

IIM Amritsar IPM Selection Process
The IIM Amritsar selection process is a structured four-stage process, and understanding it clearly can help you plan your application better.
Stage 1- Application Submission: Meet the eligibility criteria, submit a complete application with the applicable fee, and enter your IPMAT Indore 2026 registration number. An incomplete application will not be considered.
Stage 2- Shortlisting for Personal Interview: Candidates are shortlisted based on their Aptitude Test Score (ATS). The ATS is calculated by weighting your IPMAT Indore section scores as follows:

Stage 4- Merit List and Provisional Admission: The final Composite Score (CS) is calculated as follows:
