FMS Admission Process



Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree with a 50% (least) or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category).
  • Candidates are expected to have appeared CAT with a minimum score percentile for the consideration of admission.
  • If the candidate holds grades/CGPA instead of percentage marks, the equivalence is based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained from. If the certification of the equivalence is unavailable from the desired university, the equivalence is certified by FMS Delhi.
  • Undergraduates in their final year/ awaiting the final results are eligible to apply for admissions. However, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria when the results are declared, and must submit degree certificate from the current university to the FMS office during the admission process.

FMS Admission Criteria

FMS Delhi Admission Criteria consist of two stages- the first stage is the shortlisting of candidates based on CAT sectional and overall score. The second stage is shortlisting of candidates based on GD-PI & Extempore.

  • FMS Delhi awards 50% weightage to CAT score for the final selection round. Out of this 50% weightage, the sectional weightage is given below:
    • Score in Quantitative Ability is awarded 30%.
    • Score in Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning is awarded 30%.
    • Score in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension is awarded 40%.
  • Additional 5 marks are awarded to female candidates.
  • The composite score is used for the Interview Process shortlist.
  • Candidates failing to attend the GD-PI & Extempore are not considered for the final admission.

Final Admission Selection Round Criteria

  • The final selection round at FMS begins in the second week of April.
  • The final round includes Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Extempore speech.
  • The GD-PI-Extempore round is held at FMS, Delhi University campus.
  • Merit list is based on CAT score, performance in GD-PI-Extempore, and Academic profile.
