MDI Gurgaon was established in 1973 under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Over five decades, it has grown from a national training body into a full-fledged Deemed University offering full-time, part-time, executive, online, and doctoral management programmes. The institute is located at Mehrauli Road, Sukhrali, Gurugram, 122007, placing it directly within reach of the NCR's major corporate hubs. Programmes Offered at MDI Gurgaon

MDI Gurgaon offers a comprehensive range of management programmes, full-time, executive, part-time, and online.

1. PGDM - Flagship Programme

The PGDM is MDI Gurgaon's flagship two-year, full-time, residential programme. It is approved by AICTE and equivalent to an MBA. The programme covers core management disciplines Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR, with flexibility for specialisation in the second year. Admission is through CAT 2025 scores, followed by WAT, GD, PI, and Behavioural Assessment.

• Admission: CAT 2025 + WAT + GD + PI + Behavioural Assessment
• Final offers communicated in April 2026 (for 2026-28 batch)

2. PGDM-HRM (Human Resource Management)

A two-year, full-time programme with specialisation in Human Resource Management. Designed to develop HR professionals with strategic and analytical capabilities. Shares the same CAT 2025-based admission process as the PGDM.

• Admission: CAT 2025 + WAT + GD + PI + Behavioural Assessment

3. PGDM-IB (International Business)

The PGDM-IB is a two-year programme focused on International Business, with a unique dual degree component. Students are allocated to one of two French partner institutions, emlyon Business School (Lyon) or ESCP Business School (Paris), for the international component.

• Duration: 2 years
• Seats: 60
• Key distinction: Requires a minimum 4-year Bachelor's degree. A 3-year degree is NOT eligible.
• Work experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time post-qualification experience required as on 31 January 2026
• Partner schools: emlyon Business School, Lyon, France OR ESCP Business School, France

4. PGDM-Business Analytics

MDI launched the PGDM-Business Analytics programme to develop professionals skilled in data science, AI, and analytics applied to business decision-making. The inaugural 2023-25 batch secured placements at firms including McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Maruti Suzuki.

5. PGDM-BM (Business Management - Executive)

A one-year, full-time executive management programme for working professionals with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification work experience. Admitted through CAT 2025, GMAT, or XAT 2026.

• Fee: 18,50,000 (including refundable security deposit of 27,500 and alumni fee of 15,000). NRI fee: US$ 27,240 (excluding boarding & lodging). 
• Work experience required: Minimum 3 years as on 31 March 2026
• International Immersion: Provision for International Immersion Module expenses additional

6. PGDM-BA (Business Administration - Part-Time)

A two-year, part-time weekend programme for working professionals who want to pursue management education without leaving their jobs. Classes conducted on weekends.

• Fee: 11,50,000 (including refundable security deposit of 27,500 and alumni fee of 15,000). 
• Work experience required: Minimum 3 years as on 30 April 2026
• Entrance: Valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT score required

7. PGDM-PPM (Public Policy & Management)

A two-year programme focused on public policy, governance, and management, designed for professionals looking to bridge the public and private sectors. Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience required.

8. PGDM Online

A two-year online management programme approved by AICTE. The programme allows participants to earn a PGDM, as mandated by AICTE for non-university institutions. The programme may be granted MBA equivalence by AIU in due course.

MDI Gurgaon Admission Process 2026-28

The admission process for PGDM, is described below for the year 2026-2028. 

As per MDI, Gurgaon admission policy: 'The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT-2025 scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience, and social diversity, etc.'

Step-by-Step Admission Process

• Step 1 - CAT : Appear for CAT exam.There is a single, unified application form for all four full-time programmes: PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, and PGDM-BAN.
• Step 2 - Apply at admissions.mdi.ac.in: Online application open . Application fee: 3,000 (Indian candidates). Candidates applying for both MDI Gurgaon and MDI Murshidabad pay 3,590.
• Step 3 - Shortlisting: Shortlisting for WAT-GD-PI process is done on the basis of application details and CAT scores.
• Step 4 - WAT + GD + PI + Behavioural Assessment: Conducted in April 2026 for shortlisted candidates. Location: MDI Gurgaon campus.
• Step 5 - Final Selection & Offer: Final selection based on composite score. Successful candidates informed of final selection in April 2026.
