When filling out the MICAT application form, candidates should remember these key points:
Once the MICAT 2027 registration process is completed, the next major step is the release of the MICAT admit card. MICA releases separate admit cards for both phases of the exam:
Candidates must visit the official MICA website, log in using their registered email ID and password, and download the admit card. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre; without it, entry will not be allowed.
The MICAT 2027 Admit Card will include:
Candidates are strongly advised to carefully read all instructions mentioned on the admit card and follow them strictly on the day of the exam.
Based on the 2026 cycle, Phase I registration begins in September and typically closes in late November, while Phase II registration runs from late November through January. Early applicants get better choice of test centres and GE-PI centres compared to Phase II test-takers.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a UGC-recognised university, and must have appeared for CAT 2026, XAT 2027, or GMAT. If your results aren’t out yet at the time of registration, you can enter your exam registration ID and update scores later. Final-year students are also eligible to apply.
The application fee is expected to be INR 2,100 for all candidates, with no concessions for reserved categories. Payment can be made online via debit/credit card, net banking, mobile wallet, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable, so review your form carefully before submitting. If you plan to appear in both phases, note that the fee is charged separately for each.
MICAT is conducted across 48 cities in India in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, and Delhi is one of the available centres. While filling the registration form, you can choose up to 3 test centres in order of preference. Allotment is subject to availability, so listing Delhi as your first preference and registering early in Phase I gives you the best chance of securing it.
For Indian domestic candidates, a valid CAT or XAT score is sufficient; GMAT is not required. GMAT is only mandatory for NRI and Foreign National applicants. It’s worth noting that MICAT and CAT/XAT scores carry equal weightage of 50% each in the shortlisting process, so strong performance in both is important for your chances of making it to the GE-PI round.
