I’m Hariprasanth studying 2nd year Aerospace Engineering. During this pandemic, when other colleges were unable to provide quality education, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham never stepped back. The faculties and management gave their maximum efforts to bring out the proper education and they clarified the doubts of students immediately too. They gave assignments, quizes and viva regularly to check our progress. And there are lots of Clubs here which improves our extra curricular skills. I’m in Amrita Toastmasters Club through which I learnt a lot on how to get rid of stage fear and deliver a public speech. The hospitality the university provide is immeasurable. I did not even feel like I’m coming from a different country. And the environment is breathtaking with beautiful mountains, well structured buildings and greenery everywhere. I’m very grateful for the university for providing scholarship, quality education and for giving me a new of set of Indian friends.
Studying at Amrita is a stimulating experience to me. I have chosen Amrita because it not only emphasizes on the intellectual excellence, but also on inspiring students to contribute to the society with their knowledge and to conduct research for the common good. The vision of the Chancellor, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, on striving the balance and integration of “education for a living and education for life” resonates with my heart the most. Other than creating bright minds, cultivating love and compassion should also be an essential part in education. I can see that Amrita is giving a lot of opportunities for students to imbibe these positive qualities through various programs, projects, and initiatives, etc. My faculty is putting their best effort to support students in adjusting into online learning smoothly during the current global pandemic. My classmates are also friendly. I enjoy my class atmosphere a lot.
