About Us

The Shiv Nadar School of Law, the latest addition to Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Chennai, offers an integrated B.A., LL.B. program designed to deepen legal expertise while fostering intellectual curiosity. Anchored in the humanities and social sciences, this program equips students to excel in legal doctrine.

As a center for innovation and intellectual growth, SNU Chennai is committed to shaping India’s top legal minds through the Shiv Nadar School of Law. Since 1994, the Shiv Nadar Foundation has invested over Rs. 12,146 crores in initiatives that have impacted 40,000 students. The Shiv Nadar School of Law is its newest venture, joining a network of 11 schools, universities, and literacy programs across India.

Program Offered

The 5-year integrated program combines a rigorous study of legal doctrine and case law with complementary subjects outside of the law. Starting with a strong foundation in Liberal Arts, including humanities, social sciences, and elements of natural sciences, our curriculum prepares students for the legal field.

This immersion in rhetoric, logic, literature, and research will support our students’ transition into the legal realm. Students will develop an instinct for the law – its applications, exceptions, and interpretations – and develop a unique tacit knowledge of the law that will make them skilled professionals.
