AMU UG Admission 2026: Courses, Eligibility, Admission Process & Updates

Aligarh Muslim University UG Admission 2026: AMU is one of India's oldest and most distinguished central universities. Founded in 1875 as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College by the educationist and social reformer Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. It was granted university status through an Act of Parliament in 1920.

AMU UG admission 2026 uses a dual-track process: a subset of UG programs admit students based on CUET UG 2026 scores, while the majority of UG and all PG, professional, and doctoral programs are conducted through AMU's own Admission Tests.

AMU has 13 Faculties - Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, International Studies, Law, Medicine, Management Studies & Research, Science, Social Sciences, etc. - along with over 117 teaching departments, 3 academies, 21 centres and institutes, and several constituent colleges. The university also operates three off-campus centres at Malappuram (Kerala), Murshidabad (West Bengal), and Kishanganj (Bihar).

This guide covers the complete AMU UG admission 2026 process - from important dates, CUET-based and test-based programs, colleges and institutions, to documents required and special categories.
