CUET 2024 Application Form

The CUET (UG) 2024 registration process is ongoing, and candidates can fill out the CUET 2024 application form before the CUET form last date (which has been extended for a second time till 5th April - 09:50 PM). The complete CUET registration and application process is online. Students seeking UG admissions in any participating universities (250+ in total) across the country (including central universities like DU, BHU, JNU, JMI, University of Allahabad, etc) must briefly check how to fill CUET form and complete it before the CUET form last date. CUET Application Form Dates

All the relevant CUET (UG) 2024 dates are mentioned below:

Students must minutely go through the CUET 2024 information brochure and read the instructions carefully (including how to fill CUET Form). Candidate's CUET application forms shall be disqualified if they do not abide by these instructions.

CUET Registration 2024

Complete the first step of the CUET application form by registering for it and don’t forget to note down the system-generated application number. The candidate should provide the required details correctly while filling out the CUET 2024 application form. They are also required to create a password and subsequently choose a security question and enter their answer. The security question can be used to reset the CUET password in case students forget it.

Once the candidates submit their details and finish CUET registration, a CUET application form number will be generated, which will be used to complete the remaining steps of the CUET application form. For subsequent CUET logins, the candidates can directly log in with their respective system-generated CUET 2024 application form number and the password created by them. 

Candidates must follow the following steps to complete and submit the CUET registration form successfully:

• Step 1: Click on the “New Candidate Register Here” button for new CUET registration - 2024 - CUET (UG) portal
• Step 2: Download and read the Information Bulletin carefully before beginning CUET registration and gain awareness regarding how to fill CUET form.
• Step 3: Fill out the CUET registration form, including personal details and address. After that, choose the password, security question and answer, enter the security pin, and click on submit.
• Step 4: Validate the details in the preview application section and then click on “submit and send OTP on email”. If required, one can edit their credentials at this stage.
• Step 5: Complete the CUET registration verification process by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile & email ID.

After students complete the CUET registration process, they can log in to their account by entering the user ID (CUET application form number) and password set while completing their CUET 2024 registration and fill out the form before the CUET form last date.

CUET Password & How to Reset it

The Password chosen by the students must be as per the following policy.

• Password must be 8 to 13 characters long
• It must have at least one upper-case alphabet
• It must have at least one lowercase alphabet
• It must have at least one numeric value
• The password must have at least one special character eg. !@#$%^&*-_

How to reset the CUET application form password if one forgets it ?

The following options are available to reset the password set by the candidate.

• Using the security question and its answer, that a candidate chooses during filling out the form.
• Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to candidates registered mobile no.
• Using a reset link, that will be sent via email to candidates' registered email address.

How to Fill CUET Form?

Before beginning to fill out the form candidates must go through a few details and check them thoroughly to gain complete awareness of how to fill CUET form.

• Subject combination and eligibility for any particular course
• Complete list of participating universities
• List of courses offered by any particular university
• Course-wise top colleges of various universities

Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET

• The CUET 2024 application form will be made available on the official website of CUET. Go there and download the information brochure to know the CUET form last date and other important details and guidelines before filling out the CUET application form. Read it carefully before applying.

Next, log in using the credentials created while registering. Students must remember the CUET form last date and fill out the form before the deadline.

Step 2: CUET application form brief

• The CUET application form will largely require the following details- personal details, qualifying exam details, educational details, correspondence address, course and university preference, exam center choice, photograph, signature, and declaration.
• Fill in all the details with utmost diligence. Make sure to double-check the spelling of all the credentials.

Step 3: Course & university preference

• The course and university preference part in the CUET application form must be filled with great care. Go through the detailed eligibility criteria for any course and university before applying.
• Candidates will first need to select the universities of their choice. And after that, they need to mark choices for courses in the universities. Students needn’t opt for all the universities in the CUET application form to be eligible for admission.

Step 4: Language & subject choice

• At this stage, students will also be required to mention the language that they want to opt for and the domain-specific subject that they wish to select. Students can select a maximum of 6 subjects from all three sections combined, which must include one language. Students are also advised to add GT to their selection, to widen up their course options.
• Next, students will also have to select the preference of their exam center. A student can add up to 4 preferences. [Candidates choosing any regional language as a subject should opt for the city/center selection accordingly. Ex. The Marathi language will only be available in Maharashtra and not in any other state]

Step 5: Uploading documents

• Students will also need to upload a few scanned documents like photographs, signatures, and other supporting documents (in the case of category students) to complete the CUET application form and pay the CUET application fees.
• Keep the scanned photo and signature ready as per the prescribed specifications (Photograph Size: 10KB – 200KB, Signature Size: 4KB – 30KB, Category certificate - 50KB - 300KB, and the format should be JPG/JPEG).
• Once uploaded, preview the entire CUET form, confirm credentials (email ID and password), and move to the next step.
• Candidates should check their photograph and signature before submitting the CUET 2024 application form. In case the photograph or signature is blurred or not visible to identify the identity of the candidate then, the application will be rejected.

Step 6: CUET application fees

• The CUET application fee can be submitted online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator
• All the CUET forms must have a successful payment status. Hence, make sure to pay the CUET application fees before the CUET form last date.
• Once the CUET application fee is paid, students must print the confirmation page and keep it for further reference.

Things to keep in mind while filling out the CUET application form 2024:

• Keep the required documents ready along with a scanned copy of the photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).
• The payment of the CUET application fee is to be made in online mode only.
• The CUET application form of a candidate will not be accepted by exam authorities till the fee is paid successfully.
• Upon successful CUET registration and completion of the CUET application form, candidates will receive a confirmation email and SMS on their registered email address and phone number. So, provide a valid email address and phone number.
• While choosing the test center for CUET 2024, one must be careful as no change may be allowed once the form has been submitted.
• After filling out the CUET application form, download a copy of it and take a print of the CUET form for any future reference.
• Always remember and be aware of the CUET form last date.

CUET Application Form Correction Window

All the candidates must note that the NTA will open a short window for CUET application form correction. If they have provided any wrong information or made any other mistake, it can be corrected during this time. Candidates need to remain alert so that they don’t miss out on this correction window to make any changes in their CUET form.

The correction window for the CUET application form will be the 6th & 7th of April (till 09:50 PM). Check for the list of editable and uneditable fields that will be provided in the official notification for the correction window. [Correction window link will be updated when announced]

CUET Application Form Document Specification

The document uploading part of the CUET application form is the most crucial and must be done very carefully. Students must follow the size and dimensions details provided in the official notification. Any deviation from that and the documents won’t get uploaded, and students can not proceed to pay their CUET application fees. What After Filling Out the CUET Form?

The selection process for CUET begins once the exams are over and the CUET results are declared. All the UG admissions will only be done based on the CUET scorecard of the candidate. Ensure the following details after successfully filling out the CUET application form.

• Download the CUET admit card and check for any discrepancies. If any error is found, immediately inform the authorities.
• Appear for the exam on the given dates and center as notified in the admit card.
• Validate the answers once the official provisional answer key is released by NTA.
• Use the grievance redressal mechanism, for any issues with the provisional answer key.
• Once the results are announced, Students must download their CUET scorecard. Then register for the CSAS portal of the respective universities they might be targeting, and participate in the subsequent counseling process for admissions.
• In 2023, DU considered the class 12th marks of the candidate in case of a tie in their CUET score (two or more students with the same CUET score opting for the same course and college). DU then considered the class 12 Board marks (best of 3, 4, and 5 consecutively), and even a tie then the older student gets the seat. Therefore, there is a certain importance for the Board marks too if a student is aiming for DU UG admission.
