Jamia Millia Islamia UG Admission 2024: Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. The university shifted its campus from Aligarh to Okhla, in New Delhi in 1925. Category 1: Students who have already acquired NSQF certification level 4 in the industry sector belonging to Solar Energy.

Category 2: Students who have acquired NSQF certification level 4 but may like to change their sector and pursue Vocational course in Solar Energy.

Category 3: Students who have passed 10+2 level examination (or equivalent) without any background of vocational training. Such students must have secured at least 50% marks at the 10+2 level. Besides, they must have also studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 (or Equivalent ) level.

Category 4: Three Years Diploma Engineering (any discipline) with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University.

Jamia Millia Islamia Application form & Admission Process (UG)

Jamia Millia Islamia admission usually begins in the month of April, every year for non-CUET courses. The admission process is completely online for all courses (CUET & non-CUET). Candidates need to register on the official website of the CUET & the university respectively depending upon the course to which they are aspiring to take admission. Admission to most of the JMI UG programs are based on the CUET. Jamia Millia Islamia will offer admission to some specializations of BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), and B.Voc on the basis of CUET scores.

Candidates seeking admission at Jamia Millia Islamia can follow the below-mentioned steps in order to apply for any course:

  • To register online, visit the JMI Admission Portal - jmicoe.in or register on the official website of CUET.
  • Register successfully on the CUET or the JMI portal based on your course preference.
  • Enter basic information such as Name, Academic Qualifications, Contact Numbers, etc
  • Click on the submit button to upload the photograph and signature, and other required documents.
  • Pay the required application fees and save your form. (For Non-CUET courses, visit the official JMI website for further instructions)
  • For admission via CUET, students need to then appear for the CUET on given dates.
  • Once the CUET results are declared, or JMI common admission portal is open, students need to register there with their CUET scorecard to take part in JMI UG admission counselling process.

JMI UG Admission 2024 Reservations Policy

Jamia accepts reservations for all courses in all categories. The following are the reservation criteria by category:

Note:

  • Candidates under OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) must submit a certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • If seats in the categories of Women Applicants and OBC-NCL remain unfilled, they will be transferred to the Muslim Minority category.
  • Internal Jamia Candidates are those who have passed the JMI qualifying examination. Those who completed their degree via private or distance education will not be considered for relaxation.
  • There are no seats available in the BDS programme for Kashmiri migrants or candidates from J&K.
  • There are no seats available for foreign candidates on the B.Arch course.
  • NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers will be eligible for a 5% and 2% mark reduction in the aggregate of the qualifying examination, respectively.

A. The popular courses which are offered in JMI are BBA, B.Tech., BPT & MCA. Admission to all the undergraduate courses is offered on the basis of the JMI entrance test conducted by the University. 

A. Yes, JMI provides admissions to the students on the basis of the sports quota. The students who show outstanding performance in sports are eligible for the sports quota. Besides, the students are also provided 5% relaxation in the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the course.

A. The different modes of payment for admission fees in JMI are mentioned below:

  • Cash mode: The students can make payment of admission fees in the branches of either the Indian Bank or Bank of India. In such a  case, the students are required to collect a pay-in-slip from the concerned departments.

  • Online mode: JMI also accepts fees through Net Banking, Credit Card, and Debit Card. 

  • Demand Draft: Payment of fees through demand draft in favour of “ The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia”, payable at New Delhi is another mode of payment accepted in JMI.
