Jamia Millia Islamia UG Admission 2026: In Urdu, Jamia means 'University', and Millia means 'National'. Founded in 1920, the university was declared a Central University by an Act of Parliament in 1988. JMI is accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC and is ranked 4th in the University category and 13th overall in NIRF Rankings 2025.

Students aspiring to join JMI through CUET must appear for the correct CUET domain and language papers as specified by the university. JMI allocates seats strictly based on CUET scores and its own merit policy.
Crucially, appearing for CUET alone does not constitute an application to JMI. Candidates must also separately register on the JMI admission portal at admission.jmi.ac.in and specify their CUET Application Number.

CUET-based JMI UG admission 2026 for eligible programs follows the procedure laid down in the official JMI Prospectus 2026-27:
The majority of JMI's UG programs - including B.Ed, B.V.A., B.J.M.C., B.A. LL.B., BBA, B.A. (Hons.) in Arabic/English/Linguistics, and most Social Science programs - are admitted through JMI's own Entrance Tests, conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at designated test centres across India. Entrance Tests commenced from April 26, 2026, onwards.
The JMI Entrance Test carries negative marking: 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer (except for school-level courses). Candidates should strategise accordingly.
JMI has expanded its entrance test network to 11 cities for 2026-27 (up from 8 previously), adding Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj. Courses eligible for multi-city tests can choose from the following centres.
