About Geeta Institute of Law

Geeta Institute of Law strongly emerged as one of the top private law colleges in Haryana, Delhi NCR offering BA. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Years, BBA. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Years, LL.B (3 years) and LL.M (2 years). The institute is located on NH-1 G.T. Road, Panipat, Haryana, India. Just 50 minutes’ drive away from Delhi.

The institute was established by the visionary and a social leader Sh. S.P. Bansal, under the aegis of K.R. Education Society to achieve world-class legal education in the country. His vision for the Law Institute is to provide excellence in Legal Education and to produce quality law Graduates with good moral principles and great human values. The institute was granted affiliation by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2007 and the affiliation has been approved by the Bar Council of India.

The methods of teaching in the GIL include lecture discussion, case law analysis, moot court training project assignment and placement programs. The Institute organizes seminars on contemporary legal issues, conducts clinical courses and trains students in legal research and legal writing. By the time a student completes the Program he/she hones in the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of law to become a full-fledged responsible member of the legal profession.

BA. LL.B (Hons.) 5 Years

  • The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA. LL.B) Honours is a professional law degree that candidates can pursue right after Class 10+2. 
  • An integrated course, BA. LL.B (Hons) is  five years law program. 
  • In this course candidates are taught Arts as well as Law subjects. 
  • In this course, candidates are imparted education not only through classroom teaching methods but also by means of case studies and moot courts. 
  • This Program is a five years Integrated Program spread over ten semesters.

Eligibility for Admission for BA. LL.B (Hons.)
Passed 10+2 with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (not less than 42.75%, in case of SC/ST)

Seats Intake: 120 Seats

BBA. LL.B (Hons.) 5 Years

  • Bachelor of Business Administration & Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA. LL.B) Honours is a professional law degree that candidates can pursue right after Class 10+2. 
  • An integrated course, (BBA. LL.B (Hons.) is five years law program. 
  • In this course candidates are taught business administration as well as Law subjects. 
  • In this course, candidates are imparted education not only through classroom teaching methods but also by means of case studies and moot courts. 
  • This Program is a five years Integrated Program spread over ten semesters.

Eligibility for Admission for BA. LL.B (Hons.)
Passed 10+2 with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (not less than 42.75%, in case of SC/ST)

Seats Intake: 60 Seats

LL.B (3 years)

  • Legum Baccalaureus or Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) is a three-year law program.
  • Candidates can pursue this law course only if they possess a graduation degree in any stream
  • This course is regulated and closely supervised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • The curriculum of this course is divided into six semesters.
  • Candidates are awarded the degree only when they pass all the semesters of this three-year LL.B. course.
  • As part of LL.B. degree, candidates are required to attend theory classes, moot courts, internships as well as tutorial work regularly.

Eligibility for Admission for LL.B. (3 Years)

  • Candidates are required to be graduates i.e. either they should have passed a bachelor degree in any subject/ discipline in order to pursue LL.B. course.
  • Candidate should Graduate degree with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (not less than 42.75%, in case of SC/ST)

Seats Intake: 180 Seats

LL.M (2 years)

  • Master of Legislative Laws (LL.M.) is a 2 years postgraduate law degree duly approved by the Kurukshetra University.
  • LL.M. helps gaining an in-depth knowledge of a particular field of law through intensive research in that field of law.
  • We offer LL.M. in the following specializations i.e.
  • Constitutional Law
  • Business Law

Eligibility for Admission for LL.M. (2 Years)

Candidates who aspire to pursue LL.M. are required to fulfil the following eligibility criteria

  • Should be a Law graduate with minimum 55% aggregate marks (in case of SC/ST, minimum passing marks in the qualifying examination are acceptable)
