Today was the first day of IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Preliminary) Exam 2016. It is being conducted in four time slots from morning to evening.
A total of 80 questions had to be answered in 45 minutes. It comprised two sections viz. Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Both the sections were available bilingual i.e. in both English and Hindi. There was a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

A smart approach to attempt the paper could have saved time. Blood Relation and Miscellaneous questions were easy to moderate in terms of difficulty. Some commonly asked topics were Time and Work, Mensuration, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Percentage, Age, Mixtures & Allegations and Profit, Loss and Discount. The Data Interpretation questions were calculation intensive. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
