The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh (Baddi) has been established under the provision of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2011 (Act No. 43 of 2011) passed by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on June 17, 2011. The University is sponsored by The ICFAI Society - a not-for-profit educational society established in 1984.
Campus Infrastructure: The University campus is in the Educational Hub at Baddi. It has 2 lakhs sq.ft. builtup area with academic blocks and classrooms with the latest audio-visual equipment. Other facilities include well equipped library, labs and computer center. The entire campus is wi-fi enabled.
Programs: The University offers career-oriented educational programs at Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Doctoral levels in management, commerce, law, information technology and science & technology
Active student involvement is encouraged in activities like: Group Discussions; Games; Debates; Sports Meets; Elocution; Quizzes; Seminars; Sessions; Skits & Plays; Cultural Meets; Publications/Magazines.
Such activities help students to: Improve their communication skills; Develop the right kind of attitudes; Enhance their leadership qualities and abilities; Work in high pressure environments; Learn to manage stress; Emerge as team players; Develop group skills; Improve creativity; Become result-oriented. Various regional festivals are celebrated on campus. The students also form various activity clubs to pursue their creative interests. There are eight distinct student clubs which promote personality development of students as these clubs are manned and run by students themselves.

Merit Scholarships based on past academic record: The percentage achieved in qualifying examination (or its equivalent) will decide the amount of scholarship. The scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining the minimum 6.0 CGPA. The details are as presented in the following table.

Merit Scholarships based on Semester-wise Performance: Up to 10% of the students of the batch will be awarded merit scholarships in addition to the scholarship based on the past academic record. In case of tie, scholarship amount would be divided equally.

Summer Internship Program is faculty-supervised. The Summer Internship Program equips the students with practical application skills relevant to various situations. It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and the academic institutions. It is a simulation of the real work environment and enables students to experience the rigors of a professional organization.
The University consciously encourages industry interaction with a wide cross- section of professionals in the industry. Summer projects, industry interaction programs, seminars etc. organized in association with the industry offer students an opportunity to exhibit their organizational and communication skills, analytical abilities and awareness of contemporary issues to leading recruiters.
