    Frequently Asked Questions

    CLAT is usually conducted on the second Sunday of May. However, CLAT 2021 will be conducted on July 23, 2021.

    CLAT rolled back to offline mode from 2019 due to the technical glitches experienced in the last few years. CLAT 2021 will be conducted in Offline Mode on July 23, 2021

    The one-time application fee which is non-refundable for CLAT 2021 is:

    • INR 4,000 for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates.
    • INR 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL candidates.

    To be eligible to appear for CLAT 2021, candidates should have passed 10+2 (or its equivalent examination) with: 45% marks (or an equivalent grade) for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates. 40% marks (or an equivalent grade) for SC/ST categories.

    To be eligible to appear for CLAT 2020, candidates should have passed 10+2 (or its equivalent examination) with:

    • 45% marks (or an equivalent grade) for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates.
    • 40% marks (or an equivalent grade) for SC/ST categories.

    Candidates appearing in their qualifying examination in March/April are eligible to appear for CLAT. However, they are required to submit the passing certificate of the qualifying examination on completion. In case the certificate isn’t produced, the candidate will not be eligible for admission to the course.
