About IBSAT

IBSAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the MBA/PGPM programs offered across 9 ICFAI Business School (IBS) campuses. A single application form applies to all campuses. Candidates with valid scores from CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMACTM, or GMATCTM (2023 onwards) are exempt from taking IBSAT 2025 but must still complete the IBSAT application form. However, taking IBSAT 2025 also makes them eligible for a INR2 lakh scholarship. IBS, established in 1995, is known for its strong industry interface, summer internships, and 100% case-based learning.

500 scholarships of INR 2 lakh each are planned for the Class of 2028. The amount will be adjusted - INR 1 lakh each-against the first and second term program fee instalments.

MBA/PGPM Program

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks, with English as the medium of instruction.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the English medium criterion must submit TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS scores by May 31, 2026.
  • Final-year students are eligible to apply, provided they complete all graduation requirements (including practical exams, viva, assignments) before May 31, 2026.
    • Admission will remain provisional until they submit required academic proof.
    • Last date for submission of graduation documents:
      November 1, 2026      .
  • Eligibility verification will begin from August 2026. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they meet all criteria.

Selection Process

  • Micro-Presentation
  • Personal Interview

A Micro-Presentation

  • Brief talk or presentation where candidates demonstrate their communication, presentation skills, and ability to think quickly on their feet.
  • Candidates have the opportunity to select one topic out of three. The format allows for 4 minutes in total: 1 minute for preparation and 3 minutes for delivering the presentation.

Personal Interview

  • Each candidate will be interviewed for 5-7 minutes.
  • The interview panel will focus on assessing the attitude and aspirations of the candidates besides evaluating their General Knowledge, communication skills, clarity of thought and expression, as well as aptitude for a career in management

  • The application process for the MBA/PGPM 2026-28 admission is unified across the 9 IBS campuses through IBSAT 2025 application: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.

Steps to Apply:

  • Online Application: Visit the application portal and complete the form.
  • Personal and Contact Details: Enter your personal information and contact details.
  • Confirmation: Submit your details to proceed to the payment page.
  • Payment: Pay the application fee of Rs 1800.
  • Receipt: After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email/SMS on your provided email address and phone number.
  • Brochure: Within one week of completing the complete application, the applicants will receive a hard copy of the IBSAT Brochure.
