NABARD Grade ‘A’ (RDBS) Preliminary (Phase I) Examination (February 25, 2020): Analysis



National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) conducted online examination for the recruitment of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS) across the country on 25th February, 2020.

There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 120 minutes. There were seven sections: Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development.

All the other sections, except the English Language section, were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question had 5 options and was of 1 mark each. There was a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

This section contained questions on topics such as Reading Comprehension, Phrase Replacement, Spot the Error and Fill in the blanks. The topics of Reading Comprehension passage were Rural Areas Post Retirement, and Economy & Business. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

Computer Knowledge

All the questions were based on basics of computer. There were questions on Application Software, SPAM and Email, Input Output device, LAN, Internet, Virus based, etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy.

General Awareness

There were questions primarily based on current affairs of recent months- December, January, and February. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy.

Most of the questions in this section were based on Rural India, GDP and Budget 2020. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.

Agriculture and Rural Development (with focus on Rural India):

Most of the questions in the section were based on Current Affairs, Recent Schemes, and from Rural India. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
