NNABARD Grade ‘A’ (RDBS) Preliminary (Phase I) Examination (June 15, 2019): Analysis - Morning Slot



National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) conducted online examination for the recruitment of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS) across the country on 15th June, 2019.

There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 120 minutes. There were seven sections: Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development.

All the other sections, except the English Language section, were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question had 5 options and was of 1 mark each. There was a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

This section contained questions on topics such as Choosing Correct sentences, Reading Comprehension, Phrase Replacement, Cloze Test, Spot the Error and Fill in the blanks. The topics of Reading Comprehension passage were Agriculture and Growth of Economy. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

Computer Knowledge Section of NABARD Grade 'A' (RDBS) Prelims (Phase I) Exam 2018:

All the questions were based on basics of computer. There were questions on Software’s, Internet Protocol, Memory (RAM, ROM) based, IP Address full forms, Name of search engine, Office key command - Ctrl + F etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

General Awareness Section of NABARD Grade 'A' (RDBS) Prelims (Phase I) Exam 2018:

There were questions primarily based on current affairs. Many questions were asked from the Government schemes (Central and State Government schemes). Minister of External Affairs and Joint Military Exercise Mitra Shakti was asked. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

There were questions on Data Interpretation (Table + Pie Chart), Data Interpretation (Caselet), Data Sufficiency, Number Series, Mixture and Alligation and Age based. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

Economic and Social Issues:

Most of the questions in this section were based on Niti Aayog, World Bank, Some facts about the economy, Solar subsidy, Scheme supported by IMF, Strive and Sankalp Scheme, PMKVY scheme, Atal Bhujal Yojana etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.

Agriculture and Rural Development:

Most of the questions in the section were based on crops production from different states, Seeds, Irrigation, Objectives of Kisan credit card, Agricultural institutes, Fasal Bima Yojana, Season, Some government schemes related to Agriculture, Breeds of Cattle, Soils types, Exports, Horticulture, Fat percentage in double toned milk, Minimum support price (MSP) authority name etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
