Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad was established on 11th December 1961. Declared as an autonomous institute through Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017, this prestigious institute has been ranked number 1 according to MHRD-NIRF 2020. It is also the first management institute in India to be awarded EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) in 2008.Unlike the previous years, IIM-A declared the reduction of required minimum CAT sectional cut-off in 2018. For the 2019-2021 Batch, the sectional percentile has gone down to 70 from 80. Likewise, the overall percentile cut-off has also been reduced from 90 percentile to 80 percentiles. According to IIM A final placement report 2020, the highest salary package offered by companies was capped at 70 lakhs per annum.
