The MAH MBA CET is an entrance exam held annually by the Maharashtra State CET cell, offering students to enroll in MBA programs at renowned B-schools in Maharashtra.

The MAH MBA CET 2024 exam was conducted on 9th March 2024 and consisted of 200 questions, each providing five options that included no negative marking. The exam comprised of four sections:

What is the MAH MBA CET Exam?

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) organizes the MAH MBA CET Exam. In the state of Maharashtra, technical education is overseen by the Directorate of Technical Education, a government agency. A few key details regarding the MAH CAT exam 2024 are provided below-

  • The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode in multiple sessions per day. 
  • The examination will take place in over 60 centers within the state and in several prominent cities located outside the state.
  • The candidates will be offered seats in participating colleges based on their exam scores.

One difference between the MBA CET exam and other MBA entrance exams is that the MAH MBA CET exam score is the only factor that determines which college you can go to. The admission process does not have group discussions or personal interview rounds. The only other factor that affects your chances of getting into a college is whether you are a resident of Maharashtra. Candidates who are residents of Maharashtra benefit from the reservation policy.

MH CET MBA 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Given below is the eligibility criteria for applying and appearing for MAH MBA CET:

Bachelor's Degree

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.
  • There is no minimum or maximum academic qualification limit for the test taker to take MBA CET. 
  • Students in their pre-final or final year of graduation can also apply.
  • For the general category, the minimum aggregate should be 50% and for the reserved category, the candidate should have acquired at least 45% in graduation.

Other Examinations

  • Candidates appearing for CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA are eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
  • Such candidates need to fill out an online application form according to the schedule.

How to Apply for the Exam?

Online applications will be accepted through the official MBA CET website. The application process will close on 12th February 2024.

MAH MBA CET 2024: Admit Card

MAH MBA CET 2024 admit cards are expected to be released one week prior to the exam date. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official MH CET MBA website.

To download your admit card, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Visit the MBA CET website (https://mbacet2023.mahacet.org/)
  • Click on the “MBA CET 2024 Admit Card" link
  • Enter your application number and password
  • Click on the "Download Admit Card" button
  • Print out your admit card and take it with you to the exam center

MAH MBA CET 2024: Exam Pattern

The MAH MBA CET 2024 Exam Pattern is quite different from other MBA Entrance Exams. It leads to admission in various UGC-approved MBA/MMS and AICTE-approved PGDM courses in about 300+ MBA colleges across the state of Maharashtra.

  • It comprises of a total 200 questions which are divided into 4 sections
  • It is a computer-based examination.
  • The total time allotted is 150 minutes
  • There is no negative marking
  • The medium of the exam is English

However, it is mandatory for a candidate to understand the section-wise breakup of MAH MBA CET. The candidate must understand the individual weightage and the total marks allotted to each section in order to identify their preparation strategy for the management entrance test.

The difficulty of getting into an MBA program based on MH CET depends on your preparation and the competition. The exam is generally considered to be moderate, but it can be competitive to get into the top colleges.

The syllabus covers logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and verbal ability, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical reasoning.
