The first step towards CAT 2024 preparation should be the understanding of the syllabus. Since there is no fixed syllabus for CAT exam, a generalized syllabus can be derived from past years that includes the following topics:

  • VARC Section: It focuses on topics of English such as grammar, reading comprehension, inferences, and verbal reasoning.
  • DILR Section: It requires the interpretation of data through the information provided in the form of graphs, charts, and arrangements.
  • QA Section: This includes topics of middle school mathematics such as algebra, arithmetic, geometry, modern math, etc.

Though there is a lack of a defined syllabus the most common topics and questions can be deduced based on an analysis of the previous papers.
