  • GGSIPU has officially launched the Admission 2026-27 process. Online registration opened on February 2, 2026, at the official portal ipu.admissions.nic.in.
  • The last date for online registration for GGSIPU CET 2026 programs is March 31, 2026.
  • A unified, one-time application-cum-counselling registration fee of Rs. 2,500 (non-refundable, plus applicable taxes/service charges) applies for GGSIPU CET 2026 programs. The NLT (National Level Test) registration fee is also Rs. 2,500 plus taxes.
  • GGSIPU CET 2026 is scheduled between April 25 and May 17, 2026. Exams are conducted in online (CBT) or offline (OMR) mode depending on the program.
  • For B.Tech (General Engineering, CET Code 131): IPU CET will NO longer be conducted. B.Tech admissions are now based entirely on JEE Main scores. IPU CET continues only for B.Tech Biotechnology (CET Code 130).

GGSIPU UG Admission Process 2026 (Step-by-Step)

The GGSIPU UG Admission 2026 is an entirely online, centralised process conducted through ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in. Candidates must follow the steps below carefully, as completing one step does not automatically qualify them for the next.

GGSIPU UG Admission 2026 FAQs

IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is a university-level test conducted by GGSIPU itself for programs such as BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons.), BJMC, BMS, B.Tech Biotechnology, and B.Ed. NLT (National Level Test) refers to nationally conducted exams accepted for specific programs: JEE Main for B.Tech (General Engineering), NEET UG for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS, CLAT for BA LLB/BBA LLB, NATA for B.Arch, and NIMCET for MCA. Separate registration on the GGSIPU portal is mandatory for both tracks.

No. For B.Tech General Engineering (CET Code 131), IPU CET has been discontinued. B.Tech admissions are now based solely on JEE Main Paper-1 scores. IPU CET continues only for B.Tech Biotechnology (CET Code 130).

The application-cum-registration fee for IPU CET 2026 is Rs. 2,500 (non-refundable), applicable uniformly to all categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD). Applicable taxes and service charges are additional. After the CET result, a separate Counselling Participation / Enrollment Fee of Rs. 1,000 must be paid to participate in centralized counselling.

Yes. Outside Delhi Region candidates are eligible for 15% of the total seats in each program. However, OBC reservation does NOT apply to outside-Delhi candidates at GGSIPU. OBC reservation is available only to Delhi Region candidates. All other category-wise reservations (SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, Defence) apply as per the relevant Government notifications.

CUET UG scores are accepted as a third-priority track at GGSIPU. Seats are offered to CUET-qualified candidates ONLY after the merit lists from NLT (e.g., JEE Main, NEET) and IPU CET are fully exhausted. Any candidate who secured a seat through NLT or IPU CET cannot simultaneously seek admission through the CUET track in the same program. CUET candidates must separately register on the GGSIPU portal when the CUET registration window opens.

Yes, IPU CET carries negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted (marking scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted). The exam consists of 100 MCQs to be attempted in 150 minutes.
