University of Hyderabad: The most sought-after University in the region, the University of Hyderabad was established in 1974. With various schools established in due course, the University of Hyderabad was declared an "institution of eminence" in 2019. For maintaining high standards of education, the University has been accorded grade-1 autonomy by UGC.

The University of Hyderabad has been ranked 6th in NIRF 2020, Grade A by NAAC, and ranked in the range of 591-600 in the QS World Ranking 2019.

From the academic year 2022, Hyderabad University will be participating in CUET to select its candidates for various UG courses. Hyderabad earlier had its own university entrance exams like various other universities but it will now follow the CUET Policy for filling up the seats across all UG courses offered by the university.

University of Hyderabad: UG Admission Process

The CUET will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). It is an autonomous organisation that is responsible for conducting different higher education entrance exams for various universities. To get into Hyderabad University, students will have to fill up the CUET application form from 2022 onwards.

Admission Procedure

  • CUET first requires your registration like various other entrance exams. So, you must visit the official website of CUET and register yourself.
  • In the registration process, you will have to fill in details like personal information, educational qualification, etc.
  • The registration process also asks you to upload a few documents for the purpose of verification. So, you must upload them.
  • Lastly, you need to make the payment to complete the process. Make sure you keep a copy of the registration page and save details for further use.

The candidates willing to get into the University of Hyderabad from 2022 and onwards must keep a tab on the important dates for CUET. The table below shows you the dates for CUET 2023:

The CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency where you need to submit a small sum of money as an application fee. It is levied in order to make necessary arrangements for the exam. SC and ST students are given some relaxation. Check out the fees in the table below.

There are 27 Domains specific Subjects being offered under this Section. 40 Questions to be attempted out of 50 Input text that can be used for MCQ Based Questions MCQs based on the syllabus given on the NTA website

60 minutes for [Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Mathematics (Applied & Core), and Chemistry]

45 minutes for rest other subjects

Section III- General Test For any such undergraduate program/programs being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission. 50 Questions to be attempted out of 60 Input text can be used for MCQ Based Questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/ mensuration/stat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning 60 Minutes
