India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) Main Exam 2016 was conducted on January 29, 2017 in a single shift. The overall level of the exam was moderate to difficult.
There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 140 minutes. There were five sections, namely, Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Quantitative Aptitude.
All the sections except the English Language section were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi medium. One-fourth or 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. However, there will be no penalty for unmarked questions.

The Analytical Reasoning part saw questions from circular seating arrangements with blood relations, parallel seating arrangement with blood relation and input-outputs. There were questions on para-jumbles, sentence completion (FIB), cloze test and phrase replacement. There were two reading comprehensions. One was based on economy of China while the other was related to banking.
