IPMAT 2020 Indore: Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Registration, Admit Card, Calendar

The IPM programme at IIM Indore is a cross-disciplinary management programme that has a blended course of management studies from under-graduate to Postgraduate. IIM Indore designed the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for students who have graduated from 12th/Higher Secondary or equivalent. The IPM programme at IIM Indore will consist of 15 terms which will be covered over 5 years with internship projects at the end of every academic year. The IPM programme at IIM Indore can be categorized in two segments. The first segment focuses on foundation courses whereas, the second segment focuses on management courses. Students will be awarded an MBA degree on successfully completing the five years IPM programme, however, should they wish to exit after completing the first three years, a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) will be awarded instead.

IPM Admissions Calendar*

The online application process for IPMAT 2020 exam has opened on February 17, 2020. The test will be a Computer Based Test which will be conducted at the test centres only. The candidates will be required to go to the respective test centres for the exam. The application window will stay open until April 20th, 2020. IPMAT 2020 registration fee

Eligible candidates should submit their application online (visit www.iimidr.ac.in)

  • The application fee for general category candidates is INR 4130.
  • The application fee for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is INR 2065.

IPM Indore Aptitude test registration

Registration for IPM 2020 can be done by following the steps given below:

  • Candidates may register for IPM 2020 through the online application form available on the official website. 
  • The IPM registration form requires candidates to submit their basic information. It is advisable to submit all the details correctly as no correction window will be provided once the registration is done. 
  • The candidate will receive an IPMAT registration number and password after the successful completion of the registration process. These credentials can be used later to access the IPM application form.
  • Fill in the required, personal information and academic details and upload your scanned photograph and signature.
  • Valid and attested certificates will be needed to claim any reserved category benefits for NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PWD/DA. 
  • Double-check the information entered before saving any information or submitting the IPMAT application form.
  • The last step is to make the payment for IPMAT Exam
  • You will receive the payment confirmation on the registered email address once the payment has been received.

IPM Indore Admission Criteria

All candidates have to fulfill the below mentioned criteria to qualify for admission into the 5 year IPM Program in IIM Indore:

  • Qualifying Exam: All candidates who have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent exam from schools across India in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 are eligible to give the IPM Exam.
  • Age: All candidates who are born on or after August 1, 2000 are eligible to appear for the IPM Exam with a provision for age relaxation of up-to 5 years for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD category.
  • Minimum marks: General candidates should have a minimum percentage of 60% and candidates from SC, ST, and PwD should have a minimum percentage of 55% in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

IPM Indore admit card

The admit card for IPMAT 2020 will be issued by IIM Indore. The admit card will be available for download on August 28th, 2020 to all those candidates who have completed the application procedure. Admit cards will only be available in online mode. It is advisable to keep extra copies of the admit card as they will further be needed for the counseling process as well.

IPM Indore Selection Procedure:

Students who aspire to get into the 5 year Integrated Programme in Management have to appear and qualify in 3 tests, based on which a student is offered admission into the IPM Programme. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their overall performance in the aptitude test, written ability test, and personal interview.

Stage 1:

As part of the selection procedure, candidates will have to undergo the 'Aptitude Test' by IIM Indore which will test the Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Proficiency in English of the candidate.

The candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks as per the cut off that is prepared by IIM Indore to move on to the next stage. Those candidates who qualify for this test are allowed to appear for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

The questions will be multiple choice questions with 4 marks for every right answer and a negative marking of -1 for every wrong answer.

Stage 2:

Candidates who are shortlisted will proceed to the second stage, i.e., Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

  • Written Aptitude Test (WAT): WAT is a 30-minutes duration test where-in candidates are required to write an essay on the topic given for WAT. The candidate's language ability, coherence, organization, and the ideas and arguments expressed will be assessed to examine the candidate's essay.
  • Personal Interview (PI): Those candidates who qualify the Aptitude Test round will be eligible for the Personal Interview. The interview judges the students' level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge. This is administered by the admissions committee.

Candidates belonging to NC‐OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories need to produce valid Caste certificate(s) in support of their reservation category and candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) need to produce a valid document ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate to apply under EWS category.
IPM Indore Fees

  • Indian candidates: The fees for IPM programme at IIM Indore is INR 4,00,000/- per annum for the first three years.
  • International candidates: The fees for IPM programme at IIM Indore is INR 6,00,000/- per annum for the first three years.
  • The programme fee for the 4th and 5th year will be as per the prevailing fees of IIM Indore's PGP programme.

IIM Indore IPMAT Cutoff

IPMAT cut-off is an indication of the minimum percentile score that is expected of a candidate to achieve for getting shortlisted for the further rounds of selection. IIM Indore will be releasing the IPMAT cutoff. The selection procedure also includes a Writing Ability Test and a Personal Interview.
