The IPMAT selection procedure is threefold. The first step is an aptitude test conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak separately. The second and third step is the WAT (Written Ability Test) and the PI (Personal Interview) respectively. Students who aspire to get into the 5-year Integrated Programme in Management have to appear and qualify in these 3 tests, based on which a student is offered admission into the IPM Programme. Candidates will be selected based on their overall performance in the Aptitude Test, Written Ability Test, and Personal Interview.
To make it through any exam it is paramount to understand the IPMAT exam pattern first. For any student who aspires to clear IPMAT 2022, it is mandatory to be aware of the IPMAT exam pattern 2022. IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak have prescribed the syllabus and IPMAT exam pattern 2022.
This section of the article will provide the candidate with an overview of the IPMAT exam pattern including the allotted time, the number of questions asked the marking scheme, etc.
IPMAT is a computer-based test hence, will be conducted in online mode.
The duration of IPMAT 2022 will be 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours
The exam will have three sections. For each section 40 minutes will be allotted
IPMAT 2022 marking scheme-
For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded
For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted
However, For the quantitative- aptitude SA section there won’t be any negative marking.
If any question is left unanswered, marks will neither be awarded nor deducted.
IPMAT 2022 will majorly be divided into two sections
Verbal Aptitude
Quantitative aptitude section will further be divided into two sub-sections. An MCQ section and a short answer section.

IPMAT can be categorized into three sections. Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. Each section contains 40 questions. Making it a total of 120 questions. The exam is in MCQ format.
IPM Rohtak Marking Scheme:
Like any other exam IPMAT Rohtak also follows a marking scheme.
For every correct answer 4 marks are awarded,
For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is withdrawn.
As part of the selection procedure, candidates will have to undergo the 'Aptitude Test' by IIM Rohtak which will test the Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Proficiency in English of the candidate. The questions will be multiple-choice questions with 4 marks for every right answer and a negative marking of -1 for every wrong answer. The online Aptitude Test will be held in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

Candidates who are shortlisted will proceed to the second stage, i.e., Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Kolkata (liable to change).
Written Aptitude Test (WAT): WAT is a 30-minutes duration test where-in candidates are required to write an essay on the topic given for WAT. The candidate's language ability, coherence, organization, and the ideas and arguments expressed will be assessed to examine the candidate's essay. This test is conducted for only those candidates who are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
Personal Interview (PI): Those candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test round will be eligible for the Personal Interview. This is administered by the admissions committee.
The final Merit List will be generated based on the composite score as mentioned below:
