When is the exam? How can we submit the application?
The procedure for IPMAT is seamless. The candidates are basically selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude test and Personal Assessment. A breakdown of the admission process is given below-
Step 1: Candidates have to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria (they should have a minimum of 60 percent in their X/XII equivalent and those who are pursuing/pursued their X/XII from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE and IB are also eligible to apply). The exam usually takes place in the last week of May, First week of June/July, and the dates are tentative.
Step 2: Based on the number of applications, candidates who satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria will be called to attend the test and other aptitude tests, which are conducted across various cities in the country. For the aptitude test, there are three sections, which are Quantitative Ability(QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning(LR). For IIM-Indore, they have an extra section that is Advanced Math and no logical reasoning. For IIM-Rohtak, only quantitative ability and verbal reasoning, and for JIPMAT, there are all three, QA, VARC, and LR. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes, where you have to face 120 questions, for each right answer 4 marks are awarded, whereas for each incorrect answer, minus one.

The initial years of the course gives an emphasis on the student's foundation. It is then followed by core management skills leading to leadership roles and positions of responsibility in different sectors. Generic subjects with core fundamentals are taught in the first three years such as Mathematics, Economics, integrated with other subjects like Psychology, Humanities, Fine Arts, Linguistics, etc. The last two years focus on the core management subjects such as International Trade, Marketing, Strategy, Operations Management, Operational Behaviour, and Human Resource.
