About Jesus and Mary College (JMC)

Jesus and Mary College holds a distinguished place in the history of women's education in India. Founded in July 1968 by the Religious of Jesus and Mary - a Roman Catholic congregation established by St. Claudine Thevenet (1774–1837) in Lyon, France - JMC was set up under the motto "Thou art Light, fill me with Thy Light." The Convent of Jesus and Mary had already been present in Delhi since 1919, and the college represented a natural extension of the congregation's mission of education and transformation.

Located in the leafy Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave, JMC is one of a small number of DU colleges with a dedicated Christian Minority quota, reserving 50% of all UG seats for Christian women.

JMC offers UG programs across Arts, Commerce, and Science streams, in addition to professional programs in Elementary Education and Vocational Studies. Admission to all UG programs (except B.A.B.Ed. ITEP) is based on CUET UG scores through the DU CSAS portal. The minimum eligibility for all UG programs is a pass in Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST). A valid CUET UG 2026 score is mandatory.

JMC UG Admission Process 2026

JMC UG admission 2026 follows two distinct tracks: the standard CUET-CSAS route for 50% of seats (open to all eligible women candidates), and the Christian Minority admission process for the remaining 50% of seats. Both tracks begin with CUET UG 2026. There is no separate entrance exam conducted by JMC itself.

Track A: General Admission - Step-by-Step Process

• Register for and appear in CUET 2026. Select the correct subject combination as per your target program at JMC. (CUET UG 2026 registration window: January 3 - February 26, 2026 - now closed.) Note: The CUET UG 2026 exam is scheduled from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
• Download your CUET UG 2026 Admit Card from the NTA portal (cuet.nta.nic.in), expected 3-4 days before the exam. Carry a printed copy and a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
• After the exam, check your CUET UG 2026 result and download the scorecard from the NTA portal. Results are expected in the last week of June 2026.
• Register on the DU CSAS portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. The portal is expected to open in June 2026. Pay the non-refundable CSAS application fee (Rs. 250 for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS; Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PwBD).
• Fill in your program and college preferences on the DU CSAS portal. Select Jesus and Mary College and your desired course in order of priority. You may add multiple courses and colleges as backup preferences.
• DU releases 3-4 seat allocation rounds. After each round, check your allocation on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted a seat, accept the offer within the specified deadline and pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.
• Complete document verification online (or in-person as per DU's process for 2026). Your seat is confirmed only after documents are verified and fees are fully paid.
• Commencement of classes is tentatively scheduled for August 2026.

Track B: Christian Minority Admission - Step-by-Step Process

Christian Minority Women applicants at JMC must follow an additional college-level step beyond the standard DU CSAS process. This track is only for women applicants who identify as a Christian Minority.

• Appear for the CUET UG 2026 examination (May 11–31, 2026) by registering on cuet.nta.nic.in.
• Register on the DU CSAS portal (ugadmission.uod.ac.in). In the Profile Information section (Phase I), mark your category as Minority – Christian.
• In Phase II of DU CSAS, choose JMC and your preferred course combinations in order of priority.
• Separately, register and complete the JMC Christian Admission Interview Form on the JMC website (jmc.ac.in). This form will be made available by the college at the appropriate time in the admission cycle.
• Appear for the college-level interview on the date and time assigned to you by JMC. This interview is conducted by the college and is mandatory for Christian Minority admission consideration.
• The final selection list for Christian Minority seats is published by JMC on its official website.
• Upon selection, complete fee payment and document verification to confirm your seat.

Note: Applicants under the Christian Minority track must register on CSAS and also complete the JMC college interview process. Failure to complete either step may result in disqualification. Use the same email address for DU CSAS and the JMC interview registration.

JMC Placements & Average Package

Jesus and Mary College was one of the pioneering institutions in Delhi University to establish a Placement Cell - launched in 1998, making it one of the earliest undergraduate college placement cells in DU.
