Some important points to be noted are -
- There will be a common computer based test (CBT) for all posts during the period March-May 2016.
- For Post no 5,6 and 9, CBT will be followed by a typing skill test. This test will be qualifying in nature.
- For Post no 7 and 8, CBT will be followed by an aptitude Test.
- The age and educational eligibility criteria is same for all posts, i.e.
Age - 18-32 years (as on 01.01.2016)
Education - Degree from a recognized University
- A candidate may apply for one or more posts among the given posts, depending upon his eligibility but only from One Railway Recruitment Board or from one Zone.

- The order of preference will be asked while applying for the posts.
- The upper age relaxation is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
- A candidate may appear for the examination from any of the available test centers irrespective of the zone selected by him or his domicile.
