Getting into BITS - Admissions

For all B.E programs- BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test)

All the BITS aspirants have to sit for BITSAT. Only the top rankers will be admitted. Based upon their score and rank in the BITSAT, shortlisted candidates are called for counseling.

The BITSAT is an entrance test organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani for admissions to various first degree programs like B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses in the three campuses- Goa, Pilani and Hyderabad.

BITSAT Eligibility criteria

  •   Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Subjects.
  •   Candidates must have obtained 75% marks in PCB or PCM group with at least 60% in each subject physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology.
  •   Aspirants who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or earlier are not eligible to apply.

There are a total of 827 seats in B.E. to be filled by the desired candidates.

Reservation policy

There's no reservation policy at BITS Pilani. All the candidates are selected on the basis of their merit.
