Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) is an engineering college located in Dwarka, New Delhi. Established in 1983, it is an autonomous institution of the Government of Delhi and the only college under the University of Delhi. It was formerly known as the Delhi Institute of Technology. Till 1998, the Institute was operating from its old campus at Kashmere Gate, Delhi. The Institute shifted to its own new campus in Dwarka, New Delhi in the year 1997. NSIT has a fully residential campus and lush green landscape spread across 145 acres of land.

Getting into NSIT - Admissions

For all B.E. programs- JEE Main

All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main.

Admission to NSIT will be based on the JEE (Main) All India Rank. 40% weightage has been given to class XII or equivalent other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the performance in JEE (Main).

NSIT Eligibility

JEE eligibility criteria apply to NSIT for admissions to their undergraduate programs. Based upon their score and rank in the JEE Main exam, shortlisted candidates are called for counseling.

Eligibility criteria for JEE is as follows:

  •  Students who are born on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) have been given a relaxation of 5 years.
  •  Aspiring candidates should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2016 or 2017.
  •   The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST students, there shall be a relaxation of 5% in this criterion.
  •   Aadhar card is mandatory for all the Indian citizens who are taking JEE.

NSIT admission procedure

B.E. admission at NSIT is done through online counseling. Counseling organized by the college is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and required documents for verification.
