JEE Main 2020 Admit Card

The NTA has released the Admit Cards for the January window of the JEE Main 2020. The JEE Main admit card 2020 are available online on the official website of the NTA- https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx . Aspirants can download their JEE Main 2020 Admit Card by using the application number and password or application number and date of birth. Details like the JEE exam schedule, exam centres name & address, slot & timing of the JEE Main exam, photograph and signature of candidate as well as important exam instructions are mentioned in the JEE Main Admit Card 2020. NTA has issued the JEE Main Admit Card 2020 only for those candidates who submitted their application form within specified dates. Candidates are advised to verify their details mentioned on the Admit Card of JEE Main 2020 and contact the NTA authorities to rectify the errors, if any. Candidates are required to carry a good quality colour printout of their JEE Main admit card. Candidates are also required to carry a passport size colour photograph and photo ID along with their JEE Main Admit Card.

Steps to download are:

  • Go to the official website @jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the "Download Admit Card Link"
  • There are two options to download the JEE Main admit card:
    Option 1: Through application number and password
    Option 2: Through application number and date of birth
  • Click on any option to reach the admit card download screen.

Age Criteria

There is no age limit for JEE Main 2020 as NTA has removed the age limit for the exam. Candidates who has passed 10+2 in 2018, 2019 or are appearing in 2020 should appear for JEE Main 2020.

Qualifying Subjects

To qualify for JEE Main, candidates should have passed Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, language or any other subject.

Pattern of JEE MAIN

JEE MAIN is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE MAIN comprises of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 out of which the candidate can opt to choose either one or both. The candidates who wish to pursue B.E. / B.Tech must appear for the Paper 1 while the candidates wishing to pursue Architecture should opt for Paper 2. The paper 1 is completely a computer based test while paper 2 is partly online.

The Paper 1 of JEE MAIN comprises of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Math. Each section consists of 30 questions and 120 marks.

Highlights:

  • Each question carries 4 marks.
  • All questions are only one correct answer type.
  • Marking a wrong answer would result into -1 while leaving a question blank would give 0.
  • Marking more than 1 option would be considered a wrong attempt.
  • The duration of exam is 3 hours. (4 hours for Person with Disability of more than 40%)
  • The question paper would be available in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

The Paper 2 of JEE MAIN comprises of three sections: Aptitude, Drawing and Mathematics. There are a total of 82 questions in the examination and is conducted in online mode for Math, Aptitude and offline mode for Drawing. The duration of the question paper is 3 hours.
