What is JIPMAT?

JIPMAT stands for Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test. It is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya for admission into their five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The programme awards a dual degree — a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) after three years and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) after five years.

JIPMAT is the only IPM entrance exam among the three national exams (IPMAT Indore, IPMAT Rohtak, JIPMAT) that has no Group Discussion or Personal Interview round. Selection is purely based on the JIPMAT score and academic profile, making exam performance the single most critical factor.

JIPMAT Application Form

The registration process for JIPMAT 2026 has begun on 16 April 2026 and is open until 10 May 2026.

The eligible candidates who will fill out the JIPMAT 2026 application form need to submit their JIPMAT 2026 registration fee online at https://exams.nta.nic.in/jipmat/

• The application fee for general category candidates is INR 2000
• The application fee for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is INR 1000

JIPMAT aspirants can follow the following steps to fill out their JIPMAT application form successfully.

Step 1: Open NTA's official website at exams.nta.nic.in/jipmat/ and click on the 'Online Application Form for JIPMAT-2026' link.

Step 2: Click on the registration link on the website and create a User ID and password after filling in the phone number and email ID.

Step 3: Once you have the user ID, use it to fill out the correct details such as name, date of birth, nationality, contact details, qualification, etc.

Step 4: Upload scanned photograph and signature as per NTA specifications. Keep documents ready: Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet/admit card.

Step 5: Pay the JIPMAT application fee before 11 May 2026 (11:50 PM) either through a Debit/Credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Step 6: If you need to make corrections, use the Correction Window between 12–14 May 2026. Only minor corrections are permitted — review your form carefully before the deadline.

JIPMAT 2026: Application Process

The JIPMAT application process is entirely online and is managed by NTA. There is no separate college-level application after the JIPMAT — your score and merit list placement determine admission. Follow these steps carefully to avoid disqualification.

1.   Visit the official NTA JIPMAT website at exams.nta.ac.in/JIPMAT and click on the registration link.
2.   Create a User ID and password using your registered email ID and mobile number. Note the system-generated application number displayed on screen.
3.   Fill in all personal, academic, and contact details accurately — name, date of birth, nationality, qualifying exam details, and exam city preferences.
4.   Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the formats and sizes specified in the information bulletin.
5.   Pay the application fee online: ₹2,000 for General/NC-OBC/EWS candidates and ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
6.   Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.

Important: Applications submitted through any mode other than the official NTA portal (exams.nta.ac.in/JIPMAT) will be rejected. The registered email and mobile number must belong to the candidate or their parent/guardian, as all NTA communications are sent through these channels.

JIPMAT 2026: Exam Pattern

JIPMAT is a 150-minute computer-based test comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions across three sections, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. JIPMAT 2026: Selection Process and Merit List

The JIPMAT selection process differs between the two participating institutions. There is no common counselling round — each IIM prepares its own merit list independently based on the JIPMAT score and its own weighting criteria.

IIM Jammu: Selection Criteria

IIM Jammu introduced a significant update to its IPM selection process for the 2026 batch. It no longer relies solely on the JIPMAT percentile. The final merit list is now based on a composite score that includes Class 10 and Class 12 academic performance. Only candidates who meet or exceed the category-wise sectional cut-off percentiles in all three sections of JIPMAT are eligible to appear in the merit list. The table below shows the minimum sectional cut-offs prescribed by IIM Jammu in its official 2026 admission policy.

IIM Jammu: Tie-Breaking Rules

When two or more candidates have identical composite scores, IIM Jammu resolves ties in the following order, as specified in its official admission policy:

1. Higher overall JIPMAT score
2. Higher Class 12 score
3. Higher Class 10 score
4. Higher VARC section score
5. Higher QA section score
6. Higher DILR section score
7. More recent Class 12 attempt (ranked lower — favouring older attempts)

IIM Bodh Gaya: Selection Criteria

IIM Bodh Gaya prepares its merit list based on the JIPMAT score, with candidates required to meet the minimum sectional cut-off percentiles prescribed for each category. There is no Personal Interview round for IIM Bodh Gaya’s IPM admission. The institute shortlists candidates purely on the basis of JIPMAT performance and may also factor in gender diversity in the preparation of the final merit list.

JIPMAT 2026 Admit Card

The JIPMAT 2026 admit card will be released by NTA a few days before the exam in June 2026. Students can directly go to their website and download the admit card. It will be live until the commencement of the exam.

The JIPMAT 2026 hall ticket, a very important document for the exam, will be given to all registered candidates by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

You can get it online from the official JIPMAT website. To download it,

• Just log in with your application number and password.
• The Admit Card will have important information like your name, roll number, exam date, time, and where it's happening.
• You must bring the Admit Card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center. If you don't have it, you won't be allowed to enter the exam hall.

Students are advised to download and take a coloured printout of the JIPMAT Admit Card to avoid any inconvenience at the examination center.

JIPMAT 2026: Result and Counselling

NTA publishes the JIPMAT result and scorecard on the official website. The result typically includes section-wise scores, overall score, and qualifying status. After the result, each institute — IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya — independently prepares its merit list and releases admission offers.

Post-Result Process

1. NTA releases the JIPMAT result and individual scorecards on exams.nta.ac.in/JIPMAT. Log in with your application number and password to view and download your scorecard.
2. IIM Jammu publishes its merit list based on the composite score (JIPMAT + Class 10 + Class 12 marks) and category-wise cut-offs.
3. IIM Bodh Gaya publishes its merit list based on JIPMAT scores and cut-offs.
4. Candidates who receive admission offers must pay an offer acceptance fee of ₹50,000 to IIM Jammu within the stipulated date. This amount is adjusted against Semester I fees.
5. Candidates who wish to withdraw from IIM Jammu can apply for a refund (minus ₹1,000 processing charges) before August 2, 2026. No refund is given after registration.
6. For IIM Bodh Gaya IPM admissions, candidates must complete document verification as instructed by the institute.

IIM Jammu IPM

IIM Jammu’s five-year IPM programme is designed for students with leadership and managerial potential directly after Class 12. The batch size for the 2026–31 batch is approximately 140 students. The programme combines undergraduate management education with a two-year MBA, culminating in a dual degree. IIM Bodh Gaya introduced its IPM programme in 2021 and has rapidly expanded its recruiter base. The programme admits 120 students annually.
