Jawahar Lal Nehru medical college in Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest medical colleges of India. It holds one of the best faculties and amenities required for the excellent functioning of a medical college. The college is so well recognized that it has provided its students placements in foreign hospitals. It was established in 1962 in the Aligarh city of Uttar Pradesh. It was ranked 12th out of 400 medical colleges by India Today - Neilson survey in 2016. The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College consists of 25 departments and 3 Centres.

Getting into Jawaharlal Medical College, AMU

All the seats are allotted by merit based on the rank obtained in the National Eligiblity-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board and should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotech (taken together).
  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

FEE STRUCTURE:

Annual Fee for MBBS : 1,93,000 per annum

NEET (2019) EXAM PATTERN:

  • The question paper comprises of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology
  • The distribution of questions in NEET 2019 was as follows:

  • Aspirants would be awarded +4 for every correct answer and a penalty of -1 for every incorrect answer.
