About King George's Medical University

King George's Medical University is a premier medical school located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The university came into existence with the allotment of King George's Medical College (established in 1911) the status of a university by an act passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The University has capacity for 1250 under graduates students and 450 postgraduate students. The university is known for its beautiful campus, surrounded with lush green parks. Medical College has contributed immensely in the education and training of thousands of graduate and post-graduates who have brought glory and laurels to their Alma mater by the academic and professional excellence.

Getting into King George's Medical University - Admissions

For MBBS program- NEET

Candidates seeking admission to King Georg's must qualify National Eligibility Cum Entrance (NEET 2017) conducted by CBSE. Additionally, it is necessary for a candidate to score a minimum of 50% aggregate in NEET 2017 (UP) to become eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS programs. NEET Exam

Supreme Court of India had ordered to scrap all state CET exams for the MBBS entrance last year. The states are supposed to hold only Single Exam - NEET from now on. NEET will be conducted in an offline mode (pen and paper based) at various centres across the country. The question paper will be available in different languages namely English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.

Examination date - May 7th 2017

Examination pattern

The question paper will comprise of 180 questions. Questions will be of MCQ type with each question having four options to choose from. The duration of exam will be three hours.

The question papers will be composed of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

The questions to be asked in NEET 2017 exam will be based upon the topics and chapters from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany taught in 10+2 level at school. The NEET syllabus is prepared after reviewing various state syllabi as well as those prepared by the CBSE, NCERT and COBSE.
