About Seth GS Medical College

Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital feature among one of the oldest teaching and medical care providing institutions of India. Founded in 1926, the Seth G.S. Medical College is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and is consistently ranked amongst the top twenty five medical colleges in India. Both the hospital and the medical institute are located in Mumbai. The institute provides training to about 2000 students in undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-speciality medical courses.

Getting into Seth GS Medical College - Admissions

For MBBS program- NEET

Candidates seeking admission to Seth G.S. Medical College must qualify National Eligibility Cum Entrance (NEET 2017) conducted by CBSE. Additionally, it is necessary for a candidate to score a minimum of 50% aggregate in NEET 2017 to become eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS programs.


Supreme Court of India had ordered to scrap all state CET exams for the MBBS entrance last year. The states are supposed to hold only Single Exam - NEET from now on.

NEET will be conducted in an offline mode (pen and paper based) at various centres across the country. The question paper will be available in different languages namely English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.


Examination pattern

The question paper will comprise of 180 questions. Questions will be of MCQ type with each question having four options to choose from. The duration of exam will be three hours.
The question papers will be composed of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

NEET Syllabus

The questions to be asked in NEET 2017 exam will be based upon the topics and chapters from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany taught in 10+2 level at school. The NEET syllabus is prepared after reviewing various state syllabi as well as those prepared by the CBSE, NCERT and COBSE.
